T1 - 6.1B: Anthony Stuber, Brandon Overholt (Battle at Bunker Hill)

Colonists Step Up At Bunker Hill
But Fail to Come Out With A Victory

In the evening on June 16 and in the Morning on June 17, the Colonists First showed live in the war in the Battle of Bunker Hill. No one really predicted that the Americans would win this battle and they didn’t win, but the Americans did show that they were capable of defeating the British and had a strong will power to do so. In the battle the American Continental Army showed the British that they were not taking this war like a joke. Even though the British had won the battle and claimed the land, the Bluecoats killed more than 2,000 British Soldiers while only losing 1,200 soldiers and made a huge statement to the Redcoats and all of Britain.

Brandon Goes Here

This battle really did show Britain that they were capable and ready to defeat them. The Americans also showed the British that the Colonists were becoming wiser on the topic of fighting and 1 on 1 Combat. The Battle at Bunker Hill is the biggest defeat of British soldiers in the war so far. This Battle is the Biggest Statement that the Bluecoats have made so far. This Battle will also be the last battle for Caption William Prescott. Major George Washington will be taking over as the Leader of the Colonists. Washington is a well known solider and should help the Americans in many Battles to come.
